Receiving ETA-IL authorization allows you to stay in Israel for up to 90 days per trip over a two-year period. If you plan to stay for more than 90 days or are going for a purpose other than tourism and business, you must apply for a visa at the Israeli embassy in your country.
You should receive a response within 24 to 72 hours, but the final deadline is up to five business days.
Your ETA-IL authorization is generally valid for multiple trips for a period of up to two years from the date your application is approved or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. This means that as long as you have received an ETA-IL authorization to travel, you will not need to reapply during the validity period. If your ETA-IL expires while you are in Israel, it will not affect your departure.
Yes, anyone, regardless of age, arriving in Israel from an eligible country must obtain an ETA-IL authorization. A minor cannot apply for an ETA-IL independently; an adult must apply on their behalf. When filling out the form under the occupation field, this adult can identify themselves.

An ETA-IL allows you to enter Israel for a period of up to 90 days. If you intend to stay longer, you must submit a formal extension request directly to the Israeli Embassy in your country. It is not possible to process this extension through our website.
Applications can be submitted at any time before travel to Israel. The Population and Immigration Authority recommends that travel authorization applications be submitted at least three to five business days before any bookings for air tickets, hotel rooms, and other similar extensions related to your planned trip to Israel, and up to 7 business days before boarding.
If you obtain a new passport or change your name, gender, or country of citizenship, you will need to apply for a new travel authorization. The associated fee of $17.00 USD will be charged for each new application submitted.
You can correct your application as long as the form has not yet been submitted. The final step of the application before submission allows you to review your data. Once submitted, you will not be able to correct the form and will need to fill out a new form and pay a new application fee.
If you want to study in Israel, you will need a student visa. This visa must be applied for at the Israeli embassy in your country. For shorter study programs, up to 90 days, you can apply for an ETA-IL.
Having a valid ETA-IL travel authorization does not automatically guarantee the right to enter Israel. All travelers arriving at the border are subject to border controls. Israeli border control officers are authorized to deny entry to anyone not authorized to enter Israel according to Israeli law and the procedures of the Population and Immigration Authority.
It is not required to print the response received by email, but it is advisable to have the confirmation number or a printed copy of the confirmation we will send you to the registered email.
An ETA-IL is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. During the validity period, your ETA-IL approval may be revoked for immigration or security reasons, and you will be informed by email.
Airlines are not required to request printed confirmation. However, we are not responsible for the internal guidelines and procedures of each company, so it is advisable to have the confirmation number or a printed copy of the confirmation with you.

No. An Israeli citizen or permanent resident holding a valid Israeli identification number is not required to submit an ETA-IL application.
